CAN National Day of Prayer

The Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) is set to hold a One day prayer meeting in Abuja, tagged: ‘CAN NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER’. The event is Nigeria’s largest ecumenical prayer gathering, organized for all Christians in Nigeria, towards seeking God’s intervention in the affairs of the nation, our lives as a people, and our families.

The Program is scheduled to hold on Friday, 4th November 2022 by 10am, at the National Christian Centre, Abuja; featuring strategic prayers, undiluted worship sessions and great insights from the word of God. All Christians are encouraged to actively participate in this solemn assembly with a heart of unity, interceding for our nation Nigeria.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: WOWICAN Sets To Hold A One Day Event

The National Women Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN) is inviting the general public to a special event to commemorate the 2022 International Women’s Day.

The event is slated to hold on Tuesday, 8th March 2022 in Abuja, at the Merit House Banquet Hall, Maitama; with the theme: “GENDER EQUALITY TODAY FOR SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW”.

As announced by the association, the event is expected to address key gender issues and generally discuss a sustainability plan as it concerns gender equality.
Key speakers are expected at the event, among them includes the CAN President, His Eminence, Rev. Dr. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, The Honourable Minister Of Women Affairs, Her Excellency Dame Pauline Tallen, CAN General Secretary, Barr. Joseph Daramola Bade; and a host of other outlined speakers for the One Day program.

In the spirit of CAN’s SAPPHIRE (45TH) ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, the Lagos State Chapter is organizing a week-long program with the theme: “CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF GOD’S LOVE AND CHRISTIAN UNITY IN NIGERIA”

The Christian Association of Nigeria as part of celebration to mark her SAPPHIRE (45TH) ANNIVERSARY, organized an Award/Dinner Night to celebrate and honour deserving individuals who had and are still contributing their God-giving potentials towards the advancement of Christianity in Nigeria and Christ’s Kingdom in General.

The event which was held at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, was a successful convergence of high powered dignitaries and leaders from the Christian domain, Political sphere, Business and even the social domain. The event was graced by the Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo GCON; The President of CAN, Rev. Dr. Supo Ayokunle (host), The SGF, Barr. Boss Mustafa; Distinquish Senator Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Church Leaders; and a host of highly respected men and women within the Christian faith.

Christian Association of Nigeria – CAN Anniversary Lecture

As part of activities  lined-up to mark the SAPPHIRE (45TH) CAN DAY CELEBRATION, the organizing committee is inviting all Christians in Nigeria and beyond to fully participate in the anniversary lecture slated for Friday, 24th September, 2021 by 10am Prompt; with the theme: “THE CHURCH AND THE DOCTRINE OF REGENERATION IN THE TRANSFORMATION OF NIGERIA”

The Lecture is promised to be a remarkable time for the church and all Christians to under-study and reposition our Christian life towards creating a lasting impact in Nigeria, and intends to explain the doctrine of regeneration in a more in-depth and relatable form, all geared towards transforming Nigeria.

The session will feature panel discussion from renowned panelists, interactive session, keynote address, and other thought-provoking sessions you should not miss.

Key Speakers for the anniversary lecture includes: Rt. Rev. Prof. Dapo F. Asaju (Bishop Theologian of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion; Lecturer, LASU), and Prof. Vincent Anigbogu (Director General, Institute for National Transformation, Nigeria).

Marked with a NATIONAL PRAYER SERVICE.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is the largest ecumenical body ever established in Nigeria and indeed Africa by the then Federal Military Government under General Olusegun Obasanjo, on the 27th August, 1976. Th association was established to promote understanding, peace and unity amongst various strata and people of the society in Nigeria, through the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Over the last forty-five years, the association has been deeply entrenched in its cardinal objectives, and has remained a watch person on the spiritual and moral welfare of our nation, Nigeria. CAN is also known as a constant force against all manner or socio-political ills in Nigeria

To this end, the leadership of the association has deemed it great to organize a NATIONAL PRAYER SERVICE in commemoration of the 45th anniversary. A time of thanksgiving for God’s faithfulness thus far, prayers for the peace and unity for our dear country, Nigeria, and general intercession for Christians in Nigeria and all over the world.

Holding as follows: Wednesday, 25th August 2021 – National Prayer by 5pm on zoom, and streamed live on the association’s official social media handles @ChristianAssociationOfNigeria. While Friday, 27th August, 2021 by 5pm will also feature prayers at the state level, across the nation.

Christians are urged to participate fully on all activities as slated, as we prayer for God’s blessings upon our lives, families and nation.

YOWICAN MEGA YOUTH CONFERENCE 2021

The YOUTH WING CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (YOWICAN), Abuja Chapter is hosting her power-packed MEGA YOUTH CONFERENCE 2021, with the theme: “GO YE!” and the sub-theme: “DESIGNED FOR GLORY”

According to the Chairman Organizing committee, Bro. Joshua Dandaura, the mega event is slated for Friday, 20th to 21st August, 2021; featuring Impartation, Salvation messages, networking opportunities, entrepreneurship, Awards, Project unveiling, Music and Drama ministrations, etc.

Venue of the conference is ECWA CENTRAL CHURCH, near Church Gate/ Rail station, Central Business District, Abuja.

As part of activities leading to the Mega Youth Conference, a football Tournament was held among the Five Blocs, with Golden Boys Ushafa of winning against CCN at the finals, through a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw held yesterday, 19th August, 2021.

Speaking about the Youth Conference, The Chairman of YOWICAN Abuja Chapter Amb. Emmanuel Macrock, urged Christian Youths in Abuja and its environs to partake in this glorious meeting, as it is promised to be a value-adding time with God, and an opportunity to learn, grow and do exploit.

The youth Conference heralds great speakers and ministers drawn from diverse sectors of the society, with an intent of Spiritual building towards advancing Christ’s kingdom, educating, enlightening, motivating, and inspiring young people in this modern times.

CPFN/PFN NATIONAL YOUTH/ FAMILY CONFERENCE 2021

“SETTING THE PACE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION” is the theme adopted for the impactful National Youth/ family Conference of the CHRISTIAN PENTICOSTAL FELLOWSHIP OF NIGERIA/ PENTICOSTAL FELLOWSHIP OF NIGERIA (CPFN/PFN).

Slated to hold in Abuja from 8TH to 11TH SEPTEMBER, 2021 at the ALL CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP MISSION, No. 20 Logone Close, off Nile Street, Maitama – Abuja. Registration is FREE.

The conference is designed to start with an evening session on Wednesday, 8th September by 3PM, ending with a Thanksgiving/ Celebration Service on Saturday, 11th September by 10AM.
