CAN Inaugurates National Protocol Team in Abuja, Reaffirms Commitment to Excellence.

In a strategic move to enhance efficiency in protocol ordering and elevate organizational standards, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) officially inaugurated its newly appointed Protocol Committee/Team on Monday at the CAN National Secretariat in the Federal Capital Territory.

The inauguration proceedings were facilitated by the CAN General Secretary, Apostle Prof. Samson Fatokun, who represented the national leadership of the apex Christian body. Presenting the vision behind the committee’s setup, Apostle Prof. Fatokun emphasized the crucial role protocol plays in maintaining order, decorum, and standard operating procedures during high-level ecclesiastical gatherings, diplomatic engagements, and national functions.

During the session, the General Secretary presented official letters of appointment and identity cards to members of the newly constituted protocol team. The committee is ably led by Rev. Dr. Simeon Dolly, the Zonal Secretary of CAN North-Central and a seasoned leader, expected to bring structured coordination to the association’s local and international itineraries.

The newly inaugurated CAN Protocol Team comprises:

Committee members were charged to execute their duties with unwavering dedication, integrity, and spiritual devotion, noting that protocol work is a vital ministry of service that directly reflects the image of the church to dignitaries, visiting delegations, and the general public.

In his response on behalf of the committee, Rev. Dr. Simeon Dolly expressed deep appreciation to the National Executive Council and the leadership of CAN for the confidence reposed in them. He assured the executive leadership that the protocol team is fully committed to maintaining the highest professional standards, ensuring seamless logistics, and safeguarding the dignity of the Secretariat across all upcoming events and national engagements.

The inauguration marks another key milestone in the current leadership’s drive to institutionalize best operational practices across all directorates, departments and units of the association.
