Nigeria Repents Forum (NRF) in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is set to hold an inter-denominational program, tagged ‘A Call for National Repentance’. According to the organizers, the event is a timely solemn gathering of all Christians in Nigeria, aimed at seeking the face of God for our dear nation Nigeria.
In a media chat with one of the Conveners and National secretary of ‘Nigeria Prays’ – Dr. Austin Kemie; he intimated that the national event is designed for Christian leaders and faithfuls to converge and collectively plead with the Lord to forgive our trespasses and spiritual waywardness.
He unveiled that the core inspiration behind the program and theme choice – “Unless we repent”(Luke 13:3) is the need to return back to the Lord, seek His face for mercy, and for the healing of the church.
The event is Slated to hold on the 21st of August, 2024 at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, by 11am. And at the state level, across the nation on the 28th of August 2024.
The event is positioned to instill in the consciousness of Christians in Nigeria by first reminding us that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Also, by returning us back to the life of righteousness and the fear of God. The Bible says ‘Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people’. Finally, the program will be a catalyst for change in the nation”
Dr. Austin Kemie (National Secretary, ‘Nigeria Prays’)
He urged Church leaders and Christian faithfuls to effectively participate in this national call for repentance, as the nation is in dare need for all-round divine transformation, through repentance.
