The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) deployed a total of 1,200 observers for the 2023 general election.
This was made known by the Assistant General Secretary, Rev. Dr. Mrs. Uzoaku Williams, at the National Executive Council (NEC) briefing in Abuja. According to her, the 1,200 observers deployed were duly trained and equipped with the requisite knowledge in electoral processes and observations, covering the 36 States of the federation and the F.C.T.
The religious institution being an accredited election observer group by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been active in election observation, and has recorded a high standard of integrity in her observatory report.
