A Gucci bag?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My eyes swelled green with envy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My friend had just been gifted with the most beautiful gifts on Valentine\u2019s Day while yours truly had spent the day doing\u2026 (yes, you guessed right) Nothing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Flowers, No sweets, No chocolates, No candles\u2026 Hell, No lanterns!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many years I was that girl who searched for love in places where I knew they never existed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted to be hugged,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I craved the warm embrace of dark, muscular arms; I was even ready to even settle for any hands (Lol)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mehn! I just wanted to be held!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted to feel loved; I wanted someone to at least, pretend, that they cared\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These were always my thoughts in my darkest moments,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, I was always a victim to the insecurities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe I wasn\u2019t good enough,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps not tall enough,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Definitely not fair enough\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I daily subjected myself to all of these necessary nonsenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wasn\u2019t sure of anything, even the very things I knew I was supposed to be sure of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twas that bad, and even worst. (Smiles)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until I accidentally bumped into the only valid TRUTH that mattered;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJESUS LOVES ME\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I may not always feel like it, but it doesn\u2019t change<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His relentless, reckless, \u2018leaves the ninety-nine\u2019 love\u2026 so overwhelming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I just need to smack myself on the head and be reminded, that\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His arms are warm enough to hold and to rock me,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has given me more than flowers and chocolates,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He gave his life for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, I am going to rest easy, knowing that I\u2019ve got all the love I will ever need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does this mean that I\u2019m giving up on getting my Flowers, sweets, chocolates, candles and lanterns?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No! (lol)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I choose not to settle<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I choose not to compromise<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I choose to be content<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I choose to wait on LOVE that comes from LOVE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because GOD is LOVE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, GODLINESS with CONTENTMENT is great gain.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
